Pete Seeger Endorses Campaign for an Independent Public Defense Commission

Singer-activist Pete Seeger has heard our call for justice and endorsed the Campaign! As nearly everyone knows, Seeger’s life has been spent highlighting the needs of people neglected or targeted by unfair systems. His songs energizing hope have sounded from the labor movement through the civil rights movement to the environmental movement. There are many demands for his attention; we are grateful that he found time to hear about the public defense crisis and the Campaign’s solution. We deeply appreciate him lending his illustrious name to our efforts. We hope Campaign supporters will find creative ways to use Seeger’s endorsement to persuade others to follow!
